Career Engagement

Career Engagement makes available to students the information and skills necessary for becoming more marketable and finding satisfying employment in the global job market.

Career Engagement provides support and resources for students, faculty, staff and alumni through individual assistance and professional development programs. Facilitating workshops including but not limited to; Career Planning/Job Search, Resume and Cover Letter Development, Effective Interviewing, Mock Interviews, Workplace Protocol, Business Etiquette and Networking.


The Wesleyan Edge

The Wesleyan Edge is a four-year program to prepare our students for success beyond their graduation from Kentucky Wesleyan. From day one at Kentucky Wesleyan, The Wesleyan Edge helps you to “advance your future.” This program provides a step-by-step guide to assessing skills and gaining relevant experiences, utilizing the support of all areas of the College. The program begins the moment a student commits to Kentucky Wesleyan and continues beyond graduation as students transition into alumni.

Handshake

Career Engagement is excited to announce the launch of Handshake. Handshake is a career management program designed specifically with colleges and universities in mind. It allows the institution and students to organize the job search, track programs, make appointments and post/view jobs and is completely free for employers to use.

Handshake is the place employers hire college students and new grads. 80% of students who complete a Handshake profile receive a message from a recruiter.
